Electricity North West

Electricity North West is the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for around 2.4 million properties and more than 5 million people. These customers are situated in the North West of England, including areas such as Manchester, Blackpool and Carlisle. Electricity North West owns and operates a distribution network containing 13,000km of overhead lines, over 44,000km of underground cables, and more than 34,000 transformers. The majority of the electricity that they recieve comes through the national grid at 132kV. It is then transformed to 33kV to begin its distribution journey. It is then transformed again, reducing it from 33kV to HV (High Voltage) and then from HV to LV (Low Voltage).
