Milton Keynes's electricity supply used to be supplied by 'Southern Electricity Board' until 1990 when privatisation was implemented. Thereafter it began its time as 'Southern Electric'. In 1998 the company merged with 'Scottish Hydro Electric plc' in order to form 'Scottish & Southern Energy plc' the distribution network and utility that we know today.
