Bulb Energy login: 2019 Info and Potential Problems
If you’re currently a Bulb Energy customer or are thinking of contracting your energy with the company in the future, you’ll need to log in to their online portal in order to fully utilise their services.

If you’re not a technical wizard it may seem a bit confusing but don’t worry, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about Bulb’s login process and your online Bulb Account.
Finding Bulb's login page
The first thing you’ll need to do in order to log in is, of course, find Bulb Energy’s login page. Luckily we’ve supplied the link below.
You can also find their login page through Google. Just type ‘Bulb Energy login’ into Google and it is most likely the first result. Look for the title ‘Bulb Account’, and the first sentence of the description: ‘Your Bulb energy account.’
If all else fails, Bulb’s major social media pages link to their website. If you visit their Facebook page you can find the link to their main page on the ‘More information’ tab. Once you’re there, click on the website URL ‘https://bulb.co.uk/’ and then click ‘Sign in’ in the top right corner.
You can also arrive at the Bulb Energy homepage via their Twitter, you’ll see the link on the left hand side as part of Bulb’s profile info.
Setting up and accessing your Bulb Account

Returning customers - accessing your Bulb Account
If your home is supplied by Bulb Energy you can manage your tariff by logging into their online platform. Accessing your account is easy, just follow these easy steps:
- Go to bulb.co.uk.
- Click on 'Sign in'.
- Enter the email you registered with Bulb Energy.
- Enter your Bulb Account password.
It’s that easy! You’re ready to use your online Bulb Account.
New customers - setting up your Bulb Account
If you’ve recently become a Bulb Energy customer, you should have already created your Bulb Account in the process of signing up. Just enter in the email you gave when you signed on as a Bulb customer and the corresponding password.
What you can do once you're logged in
Once you’ve successfully logged into your Bulb Account, you’ll be able to access several features available to you as a Bulb Energy customer.
Submit a meter reading
Need to submit a meter reading with Bulb Energy? It’s easy once you’re logged in. All you have to do is click the ‘Submit a meter reading’ button, then choose either the ‘Gas’ or ‘Electricity’ option.
If you’ve never taken a meter reading, don’t worry, it’s an easy process. Just follow the following instructions:
- If you have a display meter (one that shows numbers) write down the first five digits. If there’s a sixth number in red, you can ignore it.
- If you have a dial meter, write down the number each dial is pointing to in order (from left to right). If the dial is between numbers, always go with the lower option. If there’s a sixth, red dial, ignore it.
- Once you have your 5 digit meter reading simply report it on the Bulb website by clicking the links listed above.

Monitor your energy spending and balance
Bulb customers who have a smart meter will also be able to monitor their energy use once they’re logged in to their Bulb Account. This is a great feature; seeing how and when you are using the most electricity and gas will encourage you to adjust your habits. And just in case it doesn’t go without saying, saving energy means saving money.
We spoke to a Bulb representative to get more information, and they confirmed that customers with smart meters are able to monitor their energy use and the cost of their energy used so far during the month in nearly real time.
Unfortunately, Bulb has only recently begun their smart meter rollout and many customers are still waiting for the service.
Refer a friend to Bulb Energy
Bulb Energy has a referral scheme that lets its customers earn money by successfully recommending a switch to Bulb Energy to their family and friends. If you recommend someone to Bulb and they switch to the supplier you and your friend will each receive £50.
Once you’re logged in you can refer a friend by clicking ‘Refer a friend’. You’ll receive a special link that you need to send to your friend that they can sign up with. Be warned, if they don’t use your link then you won’t get credit for the referral.

Bulb’s login process is simple, but that doesn’t mean that nothing can go wrong. We’ve mapped out the most likely issues, so you have nothing to worry about.
Forgot your password or email?
When logging into your Bulb Account, after you enter your email address you’ll be prompted to enter your password. If you can’t remember your password just click on ‘Forgot your password’ and you’ll receive directions from Bulb on how to update your password.
Unfortunately, there’s no ‘Forgot your email?’ option on their login page. If you can’t remember the email you used to create your account, you can call Bulb Energy’s customer service department via the number below.
