Select Option 1 for residential accounts, and then select Option 0 to speak to a representative. Lines are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 7:00pm.

Some reasons you may need to call Electric Ireland’s customer service include the following:

  • To sign up with Electric Ireland
  • To transfer your account to a new property
  • To close your current account
  • To submit a meter reading
  • To pay a bill
  • To make a complaint

Customers can also submit meter readings and pay bills on the Electric Ireland website. If you are not yet registered, it is quick and easy to create an account.

Electric Ireland asks that you have your account number or MPRN ready when you call.

What is my MPRN and where can I find it? The MPRN is your Meter Point Reference Number. It is an 11-digit number that always begins with 81. It can not be found on the meter itself. You can find your MPRN on the top right corner of your electricity bill or by calling Northern Ireland Electricity Networks on 0345 764 3643.
