Engie: Contact Number, Customer Service & Email

Engie contact

Whether you’re an Engie customer looking to speak about your bills or you just want to find out more about its tariffs, you’ve come to the right place. The supplier is rated highly online for its customer service, with many different ways to get in touch. We’ve put together the list below so you can find the right Engie contact number, email or postal address in one place.

Engie contact numbers for existing customers

Whatever the issue, the easiest way to get in touch with Engie is through phoning its customer service team. Carry on reading to find the right number for your enquiry.

General Enquiries

If you’re a current Engie customer and have a query about your latest bill or meter reading, your first port of call should be the Engie customer service line on 0800 280 8000. The Newcastle-based team are trained to handle all of the most common issues related to customer accounts.

The Engie contact number is free to call, with lines open throughout the week from 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 9am until 5pm. Unfortunately, you’re unlikely to have much luck if you try calling on a Sunday or bank holiday.

If you’re unable to call the Engie contact number during opening hours, another way to reach out is through its online customer form. Just fill in your name, email address, and a message explaining your issue, and a customer service advisor will get back to you during opening hours.

Who can I contact about my Engie tariff?

One way Engie looks to stand out in the market is with its ‘rollover promise’. This commits the supplier to move customers over to its cheapest tariff once their fixed-term deal runs out, rather than a standard variable tariff.

If you’re unhappy with your current Engie tariff and would like to know how to change, you’ll want to call 0800 280 8000 to speak to someone about moving on to a different plan. This number is open throughout the week from 8am until 8pm and Saturdays 9am until 5pm.

As Engie’s contact number is closed on Sundays and bank holidays, you can also use the same online customer care form as above to get in touch outside of these hours.

If you're looking to switch to a cheaper tariff you can also talk to one of Selectra's energy experts.

If you are unable to come to a resolution over the phone, you can send an email with your customer account details to complaints.uk@engie.com and a dedicated complaints team member will try to solve your issue.

Engie promises to try and resolve all complaints as quickly as possible. However, if you are unsatisfied with the provider’s proposal, you can contact Citizens Advice for free and impartial advice by calling 03454 040 506 or 03454 040 505 if you are a Welsh speaker. Phone lines are open throughout the week from 9am to 5pm, though closed on weekends and bank holidays. This is not a freephone number, so don’t forget to check with your provider if you are unsure how much a call will cost.

If, after eight weeks, you’ve not been able to come to an agreement, Engie will send a “deadlock” letter with its final offer. Following this, you are free to contact the Energy Ombudsman, which will come to an independent decision based on information provided by both sides.
