Good Energy contact numbers for existing customers

If you're looking to contact Good Energy, your best chance of a speedy response is by picking up the phone. Read on to make sure your call gets directed to the right person.

Got a question about your energy bill or statement? Maybe you’re having issues understanding your smart meter reading? As an existing Good Energy customer, you can get in touch with the supplier through its customer care number on 0800 254 0000 with any issue relating to your account.

This number is free to call from the UK and lines are open during the week from 8am to 7pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. Please note that the Good Energy contact number is closed on Sundays and all UK bank holidays.

If you have a query outside of the above opening hours, you can also contact Good Energy through its online customer care form. Simply fill in your contact details and account number with a summary of your issue and a Good Energy customer service team member should be in touch when available.

Changing your Good Energy tariff

There are a number of different Good Energy tariffs to choose from. If you’re not sure that you’re on the right one or feel like you’re paying too much for your energy use, you’ll want to call the dedicated tariffs line on 0800 254 0004.

This number is only open Monday-Friday from 8am until 7pm, so if you would prefer to get in touch on the weekend, you may well be better off using the online customer care form, which is linked above.

Good Energy complaints contact number

Many Good Energy reviews mention its customer service as one of its stronger points. However, there are a number of ways to voice any complaint you may have. Your first port of call for an instant response should be its customer service phone number on 0800 254 0000. Lines are open throughout the week from 8am until 7pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.

If you would like to make a formal complaint outside of these hours, you can get in touch with Good Energy through its online complaints form with your account details and telephone number. Good Energy promises to contact customers by phone as soon as possible, though it’s worth noting that the online complaints team’s schedule is 8.30am to 5pm on weekdays only, so you may not receive an immediate response.

Send an email to...

If you’d rather email directly, you can send a message to customerservices@goodenergy.co.uk. Good Energy aims to resolve complaints by the end of the next working day following your complaint. If not, the supplier promises to contact customers within five working days and then again regularly until the problem has been resolved.

If you are unable to come to a satisfactory resolution, Good Energy customers are free to contact Citizens Advice for impartial advice on 03454 040 506 (if you would prefer to talk to a Welsh-speaking agent, you can call 03454 040 505.

Should your issue not be resolved within eight weeks, Good Energy will issue a “deadlock” letter, outlining its final decision. You can then escalate your complaint to the Energy Ombudsman, if necessary.

Moving Home with Good Energy

If you’re a current Good Energy customer and moving house, you will need to complete a brief online form. You’ll need to have your account details to hand, moving dates and final meter readings in order to pay your final bill.

There is another online form for customers who have just moved into a new property that is already supplied by Good Energy. This allows customers to set up their account and choose between either the Standard Variable Tariff or one of the other tariffs.

If you’re not already a Good Energy customer but have read the reviews and think it may be the right supplier for you, you can contact its dedicated line for new customers on 0800 254 0004 to get a quote or find out more about its tariffs.

This number is only open on weekdays from 8am until 7pm, so if you’re looking to get in touch on a weekend, you can fill in the Good Energy new customer form and wait for a member of the switching team to get back to you by email or phone.
