There’s a range of reasons why you might need to contact Covea Insurance: you want to claim on your Covea policy, you want to issue a complaint, or you simply have a few questions for the British insurer. To make the first step in the process a bit easier, we have listed all the Covea contact details so you can find whichever one you need quickly. Read on to find the Covea phone number, email address, postal address or other means of contact that you need.

When do you need to contact Covea?

First things first, Covea Insurance is a bit different to other insurance providers like AXA and Aviva: it does not sell its policies directly to the public. To get a Covea insurance policy, you must buy it through an insurance broker or intermediary company. This means that Covea customers do not have an online account for policy management. It also means that Covea is not directly responsible for managing customers’ policies.

In other words, there is no point contacting Covea if you want to make changes to your policy. To manage it, such as changing the name, address or personal details listed on your policy, you need to contact the broker or intermediary through which you bought the policy.

So what do you need the Covea contact details for? Covea still manages all claims so if you want to claim on your policy, you need to contact Covea, not your broker or intermediary. Customers might also want to contact Covea to place a complaint, and of course everyone is welcome to get in touch with general questions: Covea will try its best to answer.

Let’s break down the Covea contact details for making a claim, general enquiries and placing a complaint.

Make a claim: Covea insurance contact number

To make a claim with Covea Insurance, you need to give them a ring. There are quite a few different Covea contact numbers for claims; the one you need depends on the type of insurance policy you have. For example, the claims number for a personal car insurance policy is different to that of a commercial car insurance policy.

We have listed every single Covea claims number below. All you need to do is find the policy you have and bingo...you have the phone number to ring and make your claim! These claims lines are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Personal insurance

High net worth policies

Covea offers insurance policies for vehicles and homes that are classed as high value. In the world of insurance, a high value home is one that would cost more than £500,000 to rebuild from scratch. You can also get high-value home insurance if you keep expensive items in your home, such as fine art or highly-priced jewelry. High value cars are typically ‘prestige cars’, like an expensive BMW, Bently or Jaguar.

If you have an insurance policy to cover items such as those explained above, it will be one of Covea’s high net worth policies. Here are the numbers you need to make a claim.

Covea insurance contact for general queries

If you have a question for Covea, the best way to get in touch is via the company’s online contact form. Potential customers can use this form to ask general questions about Covea’s policies, and existing customers can use it for queries about their policy, claims or complaints.

If you are interested in taking out a Covea insurance policy, contacting a broker or intermediary might be a more effective way of getting all your questions answered. If you already have a policy with Covea, your broker or intermediary is probably your best point of contact when you have queries about your policy.

When filling out the online form, you will be asked to give an email address. It’s very important that you provide an email address that you actually use and check regularly as this is how Covea will respond to your query.

Try to explain your question as clearly as possible - you can even attach documents if these will help you - but do not include any confidential information, such as bank details. The online form is not a secure platform and other people may be able to access this information.

Did you know? You might be able to have all your questions answered without contacting Covea at all! The company’s FAQs page is a great source of information and is the best place to start when you have queries and questions.

You cannot get a quote for a Covea policy online or via Covea directly. If you are interested in a policy and would like a personal quote, you need to contact an insurance broker or intermediary that supplies Covea policies.

How do I make a complaint?

As a first point of call when you have a complaint, speak to your insurance broker or intermediary. They might be able to resolve the issue and save you needing to complain to Covea itself. If this doesn’t work, or you simply feel like you need to complain to Covea directly, here’s how to do so.

Provident Insurance contact number and info

Covea does sell one car insurance policy directly to the public through Provident Insurance (an arm of Covea). If you have a Provident Insurance (full page coming soon) car insurance policy, the contact details you need are different to the ones mentioned above. Let’s break them down into making a claim, a complaint and general quieres.

Don’t forget that customers with Provident Insurance have online accounts. To manage your policy, simple log in to your Provident Insurance account. It’s that simple.

Making a claim with Provident Insurance

If you have simply chipped your windscreen or your car has another type of glass damage, you do not need to make a full claim (yay!). In this case you can just book an appointment with Autoglass to come and make the necessary repairs. You can either book this appointment online or give Autoglass a call.

For all other car insurance claims, you will need to ring Provident Insurance on 03000 240 242. This claims line is open 24/7.

If you have had a car accident, it can be a good idea to report it online before ringing to make your claim. You can do this immediately after your accident so Provident Insurance is made aware as soon as possible. When you have finished reporting the incident online, you will receive an email confirmation that contains your unique claim reference number. You will need to quote this number during all further communications in regards to your claim.

You can report an accident online up to 3 months after the date of the accident. After these 3 months you need to ring Provident Insurance on the number mentioned above to make your claim.

Make a complaint

You can make a complaint with Provident Insurance via email, phone or letter. To make a complaint over the phone, ring 03300 240 640. To make a complaint through email, send an email to [email protected]. If you would prefer to complain by sending a letter, address your letter to:
