I’ve forgotten my password

Forgetting a password is not uncommon. Luckily, there’s a simple process to recover it. All you need to do is go to the BT details recovery page and follow the prompts. You will need to enter your BT ID to start the recovery process.

I don’t have a BT ID

If you don’t have a BT ID to begin with, you can create one from scratch. Once you’re on the BT mobile login main page and you are prompted for your ID and password, there’s also a section which asks you if you want to create an ID, click on this option. Creating a BT ID is a simple 5-step process

Creating a BT ID is a simple 5-step process:

  1. First you’ll need to head to the ‘Create a BT ID’ main page.
  2. Next, you’ll need to add an email address, twice. This can either be the email address you currently use for your BT subscription or a completely different one.
  3. Then you’ll have to add in some details such as your name, a password and your account number. Your account number can be found at the top of any past bills.
  4. Next, confirm the details you have just entered and click ‘continue’.
  5. Finally, you’ll need to check the email account that you've just used to create your BT ID and click on the link that you have been sent.

You’ll need your BT ID to access your ‘My BT’ account and use the available services and access things such as your BT bills. Note that you can have multiple BT ID’s to access the same account, for example for different family members, but you will need to select one of the ID’s to be your main BT ID.
