One of the UK’s fastest growing B2B providers, bOnline offers a range of IT infrastructure products and cloud-based services to small businesses. Established in Cape Town in 2013, bOnline’s original focus was website design (how to create a business website). At the time less than 50% of UK small businesses had an online presence, and they sought to make this service more widely available without charging a fortune.

bOnline have since widened their offer to include business broadband, marketing and VoIP services, providing small businesses with an affordable one stop shop for their IT infrastructure. If you’re looking for great customer care and value for your business's IT infrastructure, bOnline would have you look no further. But are they really your best bet? Let us walk you through their offer.

Reviews for bOnline

First let’s see what bOnline’s reviews look like - do they reflect their claims of providing great customer service at a great price? In short, yes! The review site Trustpilot scores them an impressive 9/10, with over 90% of 2,759 customers being pleased with bOnline’s service and 87% scoring them the highest score of ‘excellent’. We might say we need go no further, but let’s take a look at what exactly people are raving about.

An encouraging sign looking through these reviews is that a large number of them have simply been posted in order to thank individual customer service agents. We’re not naive - we know this is likely because call agents request reviews from customers. However, it doesn’t change the fact that customers are receiving great service, and shows that agents are keen to develop a relationship and help out with your issues.

Any business-owner knows that issues are inevitable in getting anything set up, so we’re off to a good start here knowing that when they do arise you’ll be well looked after. Praise for good customer service dominates these reviews to the extent that we see very little mention of its affordability, which bOnline is equally proud to name among the best available. Let’s have a look, then, at bOnline’s broadband offer and see if it really is such a great deal.

Broadband for Business

One of the things bOnline is most proud of is their affordability. You’ll see below that you can get a broadband deal with them for as little as £16 per month. In fact, they’re so confident in their pricing that they offer a price match guarantee and will better any offer you receive for your business broadband. Their broadband offer is split into three deals (whose prices exclude VAT), let’s take a look at them:

Unlimited Business Broadband Unlimited Business Fibre 38 Unlimited Business Fibre 76
Offer: £16/m for 12 months ~18Mbps (Includes line rental) Offer: £21.90/m for 6 months (£33.90 after) ~38Mbps (Includes line rental) Offer: £26.95/m for 6 months (£29.95 after) ~76Mbps (Includes line rental)

The eagle-eyed among you will notice that the eventual price of their Fibre 38 deal is more expensive than their Fibre 76 deal. This might seem strange - it does to us. When we think about it, though, we’re less inclined to argue with getting 76Mbps fibre broadband on a deal that doesn’t rise above £30 per month!

We’ve encountered very few deals that match these for price and speed, already making bOnline an option to be considered seriously in our book. Each contract is 12 months in length and includes free installation and wireless router - although for tracked delivery and configuration you will be charged £9.95+VAT.

Equally attractive about switching to bOnline is that they remove the hassle of switching for you and take care of everything, including contacting your previous provider to request the transfer of service. They also guarantee no drop in your service during the transition period, meaning that switching will have no effect on your business other than an improvement in your service, customer experience and outgoings.

In each of these deals bOnline also include a couple of invaluable resources for small businesses - they come with a free domain, two business mails and a free mobile app to manage your account. Adding extra emails will cost you £3 per email, but on certain package deals you can add up to ten emails for just a fiver. But we haven’t really gone into their wider packages yet - let’s take a look at them now.

Package Deals

As we mentioned, as well as business broadband bOnline also provide service such as VoIP phone services, domains and emails, SEO and Google ads, and website design. This offers you the opportunity to group your IT infrastructure into one affordable package, saving you money and the hassle of having to deal with multiple providers.

bOnline’s range of three basic packages with several options for add-ons on each offer enough variety to cater to anyone from mobile workers to SMEs. Let us run you through these packages:

Mobile workers Start-ups Growing business

The first thing to mention is that these packages are just a base and provide customers with a great amount of flexibility. Any of these cheap packages offers you the flexibility to add extra services according to your business’s needs. Extras include:

  • Extra Google emails (£3 per email)
  • Upgraded VoIP calls packages (£13-16 per seat depending on deal)

Not only this, but the flexibility of their deals and add-ons gives you no real excuse not to consider them, whether just for broadband or a combination to suit your needs.
