We had broadband, electricity and gas through SSE throughout the last 3 years and I will still have them as my go to for utilities.
I have been an SSE Broadband customer for 5 years and every time there has been a fault they make sure that they check every possible cause. This is important to me as I am disabled and housebound so rely on my broadband working well. The customer service team are great both on the phone and also on Whatsapp (which I used for the first time today) On the basis of my experience I can definitely recommend SSE Broadband.
Phoned up to discuss our phone and broadband tarriff, having inadvertently let it expire. Was delighted to hear that the new rate was the same as the previous one then saved a further £1 by entering a two year contract. Delighted with the outcome.

Reported faulty phone line for broadband on Saturday unable to have appointment engineer to investigate until next Wednesday. working from home is depends on it. nothing they can do and no solution in the meantime. not happy!
I have an open compliant with them , and they have done nothing about it . I have been left without broadband for more then 4 week after a house move request which was done a weeks and half before I moved house.
Although the service was ok, I had some issues. I was waiting half year for smart meter. The biggest issue is cancel our broadband contract. I wrote an email but after 3 working days they have not answered.
