Logging into your online account is a critical part of managing your energy use. It allows you to easily monitor your payments and contact your supplier. That’s why we’re outlining how to find and use the Coop login page, whether you’re a new or returning customer.

Finding Coop’s login page

Coop Energy provides a large number of resources on their website. With so many web pages it can be much more difficult for customers to navigate their site in order to access Cooperative Energy’s Coop login page. But never fear, we have all the information you need to successfully locate your Coop login.

If you’re searching for the page yourself, we recommend entering into Google, ‘coop energy login’ and clicking on the page titled ‘Login - energy’, which should be among the first results.

If you find yourself on Coop Energy’s main page, you can also find their login page there. Just look to the top right corner and click ‘Log in >’, and just like that you’ve arrived at the Coop login.

However, the easiest way to arrive at the supplier’s login page is also the simplest. Just click on the link we’ve provided below.

Social media

You can also find Coop’s login page via their social media accounts. Their most active pages feature a link to their main website, and from there you can easily find the provider's login page. Below we’ve laid out where to find the link to Coop’s webpage on its various social media accounts.

From Coop’s Facebook page it’s easy to get to their webpage. On the left-hand side you’ll see a panel of options. One of the options is ‘About’. Click the page then look for the section that says ‘Contact Details’. Just below Coop’s phone number you’ll find the link to their main page.

You can also find a link to Coop’s website on the supplier’s Twitter profile. Looking at the page on a desktop computer, you can find the link on the left-hand side under the Coop Energy logo.

Coop Energy LinkedIn page with an arrow highlighting link to main page

It’s even easier to navigate to Coop’s homepage through their LinkedIn page. On the left-hand side next to the ‘Follow’ button, you’ll see a button labelled ‘Visit website’. Just click it to get to Coop’s main page.

Setting up and accessing your Coop Account

Once you’ve reached Coop’s login page, you’ll need to either set up or access your Coop Account. If you’re a brand new customer you’ll need to create an account for the first time. If you’re a returning customer your account should already be set up, allowing you to access your Coop Account.

Returning customers - accessing your Coop Account

If you’ve been a Coop Energy customer for some time, your online account is already set up. Once you arrive at the login page, all you need to do is type in your email address in the box labelled ‘Email address’ and your password where it says ‘Password’.

If you have more than one email address, be sure to use the one you gave Coop Energy when you made the switch. With your password, don’t forget any capital letters you included or you won’t be allowed to access your account.

New customers - setting up your Coop Energy Account

If you’re a new customer with Coop Energy, setting up an account is easy! Once you’ve made the switch and your 14 day cooling period ends, you’ll receive an email from the provider with the next steps. That’s why it’s important to be sure you provide Coop with a working email that you check regularly when you first switch energy suppliers.

Once your password is set you’ll be able to log in to your account simply and easily.

What you can do once you’re logged in

Now that you’re logged in, what can you actually do with your Coop account? We’ve listed some of the web portal’s most useful functions below.

Submit a meter reading

Smart meter monitor showing a reading

One of the things you can do once you’re logged into Coop Energy is submit a meter reading to the energy supplier. To do, just click the link labelled ‘Submit a meter reading’ and supply the numbers you’ve taken from your meters.

Why submit a meter reading? If you don’t, your energy supplier will bill you based on estimated meter readings, which are almost always higher than actual readings. That means that providing a reading will save you money on your bills.

If you’re not sure how to do this (maybe it’s the first time you’ve submitted a reading) be sure to check out our meter reading guide.

Monitor your energy spending and balance

You can also keep track of how much energy and money you’ve spent so far during the current billing period. If you’re a customer with a prepayment meter you can see your current credit amount on your account.

Refer a friend to Coop Energy

If you’re a current Coop Energy customer and have a friend, family member or acquaintance who’s interested in switching to Coop Energy, you can both earn a little cash for your trouble. Coop offers a referral scheme to its customers, crediting £25 to both your and your contact’s accounts if they successfully switch to the energy provider.

Once you’re logged in, just click over to the ‘Refer a friend’ section. You’ll receive a special link to give to your friend or family member that’s interested in switching. Be sure they use your link or neither of you will actually get credit for the switch!

Potential login problems

Now that we’ve covered how to find, access and use Coop’s login page, let’s take a moment to examine any potential problems you may face when navigating Coop Energy’s login page.

Forgot your password or email?

The most common problem customers face by far is being unable to log into their accounts because they’ve forgotten their password or email.

Luckily, Coop Energy has made recovering or resetting your login information easy. If you’ve forgotten your password, just click ‘Forgotten your password?’ below the login button on the login page. Enter your email address and you’ll receive a link to change your password.

If you forget your username, click ‘Forgotten your username?’, which is also below the login button. It will ask for your email address and they’ll send you a reminder of your username.

Other login resources

You may also notice another button just below the ones we’ve already mentioned. On Coop’s login page, there’s a button labelled ‘Trouble logging in? Click here’. This button links to Coop Energy’s useful frequently asked questions page. By clicking on the first purple square, labelled ‘My Account’, you can see various helpful links, many of them related to potential issues logging into your Coop account.
